Dorma Extension A1 Construction Bridgend Ltd & Korona Kitchens Ltd
Shaun Evans of A1 Construction was recommended to me, when I was looking for advice and guidance on a proposed Dorma extension. The planning application for the Dorma was denied, and we were struggling for options to satisfy our needs. Shaun came to the bungalow and immediately offered us alternatives options, which would mean a lot less work and disruption and would turn out to be far less expensive that a Dorma conversion.
Shaun’s knowledge and experience was evident from the outset; he provided solutions as opposed to problems and left us reassured that we could achieve our aim. The communications from Shaun and Fiona were first class, providing us with quotations and responding to questions and queries very swiftly.
We eventually agreed on a programme of work, provided with a start date and likely job duration. It’s fair to say, Shaun and his team turned up on the start date, and although we had to wait for certain items (which we added to the job as it progressed) they still finished before the proposed end date.
Prior to any work commencing, his team covered my whole drive with plastic sheeting and boards, as well as covering my hall floor and installing a protected dust sheet from the hall to the reminder of the bungalow. This not only kept the dust down considerably, but it also reassured my wife, who was worried about any mess throughout the bungalow.
His team of contractors, which consisted of carpentry, roofing, bricklaying, drainage, plastering, plumbing, electrical work, as well as bathroom and kitchen fitting, worked seamlessly throughout the job. Shaun coordinated this work well, bringing specialists in when required, we never once had to wait for any tradesman to be available, the only waiting time we had was for the shower panels we had ordered. On Shaun’s advice we ordered different panels which came within two days.
Their workmanship was first class, attention to detail was evident to see, all his tradesmen were polite, friendly, professional and very accommodating, always looking to help deliver what we wanted. They would leave the job at the end of the day with a thorough clean up throughout. Regular updates on who was doing what for the rest of the week provided us with continued optimism.
The result of the job was beyond our expectations, to say we are very pleased is an understatement. Shaun, Fiona and their teams have more than delivered on what we wanted, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend A1 Construction & Korona Kitchens. They provide a turnkey facility for the whole job from start to finish and did so very well.
Thanks to you and all your team for a first-class job.
Best Wishes
Steve & Jackie
